It Sure Is Blue

I should stop staring in the mirror
With that strange look on my face
And the voices runnin’ through my head
Come and go without a trace
As I look around this emptiness
Like those bottles on that tray
It sure is blue
Inside this house she left today
How can her absence cause such feelings?
Such as sorrow and relief
Funny, I don’t even miss her yet
But I’m filled with disbelief
But soon the other shoe will fall
And I’ll feel I’m walking ’round in clay
It sure is blue
Inside this house she left today
Well the guilt is just not there
Nor the feelings of rejection
Maybe the love we thought we had
Was just a bad connection
I know I’m better off without her
And in the end I’ll be OK
But it sure is blue
Inside this house she left today
We always danced so well together
Moving in perfect time
Our lives fell into place
But couldn’t stay within the lines
Looks like things worked out for us both
So, what else can I say?
It sure is blue
Inside this house she left today
Oh, it’s so blue
Inside this house she left today
